Grace is still a couple of months from her second birthday, and we are seriously considering putting her in school by this summer. What? Doesn't she get to be a kid a little longer without all those rules of the classroom?
Turns out...Daddy's wrong on this one.
Jenni took Grace last Monday to check out a great program in the city that works with newborns to 3 year olds who have developmental delays. It's a very welcoming staff and environment. In the hour or so that Grace was in the classroom, Jenni could tell that she would thrive there.
And to be honest, there are only so many times we can sing Wheels On The Bus at home. We think sometimes Grace gets bored around here and needs some more stimulation. Sometimes she even crawls to the front door. Yes, our little bird wants to spread her wings and fly.
We'll tell you more about the school when Grace begins, but we love that the administrators think she would be a great fit, and that they look forward to having her once a space opens up.
Well done, little one. The Wheels on the School Bus will soon go round and round for you.

Wow! Grace looks totally ready to go to school! In our area, Ben can start school when he turns three.
ReplyDeleteThe Texans have their eyes peeled for the Pooch lunchbox...go Grace!
ReplyDeleteGrace, I am sure you will learn a lot as you start school but I know those people you come in contact with each day will learn so much from you - you have such a sweet spirit and tender heart....
