While Daddy took his Babymoon with his best buddy to Vegas (yes, he has a wonderful and understanding wife), the Gracer and I headed out of the city for a weekend at my parents. Grace had a blast. She loved the vast amount of space to show off her increasingly speedy and efficient crawling and started questioning the New York apartment life choice. Much of my weekend was spent chasing after this (blurry because of Speed Gracer):
It's possible she was spoiled by Grammy and Greenpa, and I'm pretty sure she had fun while she was there.
And poor Sophie didn't know what to make of the much more mobile Grace. Grace enjoyed doing her lion-like "roar" with sneak attack on the poor, unsuspecting, just-trying-to fit-in-a-restful-moment pooch. Note the fear and humiliation in Sophie's eyes.
I think we came out on top in our weekend getaway - we got good sleep, home-cooked meals and still have our money and our pride.

It looks like everyone was having fun except Sophie - she probably wondered who was invading her territory. It won't be long until we can have some fun with all of you! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteMoney and pride are overrated. Memories last forever. Now, if only I could remember....
ReplyDeleteD, your 'non-tequila-shooting' friend can help you recall at least 2 hours of your
ReplyDeletebabymoon.... ; )
fun seeing you, but i must agree with your wife-- i think she probably did come out on top- you can't beat good sleep and home-cooked meals (and it's always nice to keep your money and pride safe....)
love you all!!
