The Introduction

The population of Graceland grew by one Monday night.

We had been promising Grace a new playmate for months, and now she's here.

Meet Sadie.

The 8-pounder was born without too much fuss, although she was, as the doctor called it, "sunnyside up".   That means her face was up, instead of down, for delivery.   It meant for a heck of a lot of pushing.  We also hope this leads to a sunnyside disposition.

The Gracer made her way over this morning for her first sister heart-to-heart.

Grace might have been more enamored with her peanut butter and banana sandwich, but was still curious at the little one who sure spends a lot of time at Grace's former feeding station.

The real fun begins tomorrow when the two sisters get to build their bonds under the same roof.

Extra large coffee, please.

  2. Welcome to the world, Sadie! You couldn't be any prettier or any more loved. Grace, you are so lucky. Having a sister is the best gift ever! How long do you think until they are giggling together in church?

We are now blessed with two adorable granddaughters in Manhattan. We now know what the Bible means by a "double blessing". We are praying for all four of you. Sadie, we love you and Jesus loves you. We can't wait to see you and hug you.
