Just Bead It

Grace got a set of these beads for her birthday:

They were a gift suggested by her occupational therapist, and she must have gotten wind of the association with therapy, because she hasn't seemed very interested in them in general.

That is to say, until today, when a visit from Grandma and Grandpa brought with it a whole new take on the toy.  We introduce to you Unicorn Grandma:

One of Grace's favorite things to do is to grab people's faces, so this trick was right up her alley!  She couldn't reach quick enough to grab that bead.

And when she got it, boy did she relish in her success!

She was less enthusiastic about being the grabbee and much preferred the role of the grabber.

Grandma has all sorts of fun games to play, and I think it's clear that she has a big fan in The Gracer.

  1. Grandma R comes across as sweet and sensible so it makes me so happy to see a bead stuck to her forehead! Way to go Grandma - you're helping me look a little more mainstream. Glad you are having this time with our sweet Gracer - we've got a good one, don't we? Love to G & G and the rest of you! xoxo

  4. Another fun thing to do with the beads is they also turn into whistles... That always seems to make my daughter interested in them for a little bit :)

      Dear God's gift of Grace,
We enjoyed being with you and your mommy and daddy last week. Grace, you have ruined your California grandmother forever. She is still talking to me in baby talk. It's ok because you and unicorn Grandma are both so cute. I love you and Jesus loves you.
