We told you there would lots of firsts here in Graceland, as our little hero continues to build her set of skills that will help her through life. After learning how to reach out for things, Grace is now grabbing on to things, and if they are light enough, she will bring them to her mouth, which is a four-month milestone....not bad for someone who's still a week away from her four month birthday. Sure it always helps if the thing in her hand makes lots of noise, like a rattle, which she curls like a 30-lb dumbbell at the gym.
You can almost hear Olivia Newton John humming Let's Get Physical somewhere.
We are a little apprehensive on how Grace will apply this newly learned skill to all the cords and wires that will be attached to her after her operation. Nurses, please make them sturdy and noise-free.
From experience, it makes things VERY interesting. Lydia won't leave the oxygen in her nose. Even when restrained she is STILL able to figure out a way to get it out, even if it means not using her hands at all. lol Any wire, cord, tube, etc is fair game. Thankfully, there's a whole lot less of those these days and only one that is VITAL. I swear this baby has 15 hands!
