No Like-a the Lycra

Grace recently had her first session with her new physical therapist.  She was so excited for this appointment that she dressed up in her cute new summer tank and skirt:

However when the PT arrived, she pulled out these: 

Known as “Hip Helpers”, they are spandex biker shorts sewn together at the inseam meant to help kids with low tone develop more efficient muscles.  The name Hip Helpers seems to be a stretch – do you know anyone’s hips who have been helped by wearing spandex?!!  They may help, but they're certainly not hip.  Surely the PT would only want her to wear these Fashion Don’ts for an hour or so each day, but NO!  She wants them worn whenever she’s awake and playing!  So this is the new uniform around our home:

I suspect some bedazzling in our future…
