Graceland Goes Underground

After being cooped up in our apartment for the past three and a half months, with the occasional walk, and trips to the doctors, Grace finally decided it was time to see some of the city, and in New York, the best way to do that quickly is on the subway. Grace's first ride!

So we busted out the baby Metro Card and got all dolled up to go to the trendy SoHo shopping district. Here we are waiting for the train.
(Hey Rookie, the train is behind you!)

I would like to say we documented the entire trip but this is the best picture on the subway because we were more concerned with her coming in contact with something that shouldn't be touched by any human hands, much less baby ones.

We passed by lots of cute shops. Grace slept through most of it, with the humid, warm weather and a car-seat/stroller that's gets a little too warm for her to stay in for too long. She woke up just in time to foil Daddy's trip to the Apple store, and as we've learned once she's up and aware that she's in her car seat, it's time to head home.

Once home, this is how Grace celebrated all the excitement:

But it was a successful journey into the world of high fashion and boutique shops, and I'm sure there will be many more in the future (as soon as Grace can afford her own Prada).
