We've always wanted to get a dog for Grace (oh, ok for us), and while that might still be a year or two away, its nice to know she loves her four-legged friends.
Over the Christmas holiday, Grace got to reacquaint herself with Sophie, the lovable lab, at Grammy and Greenpa's.
Sophie is not a pup anymore, though she can still get all riled up, especially when there's someone new in the house. But she is so gentle with Grace, and even a little shy, only occasionally trying to sneak in a little kiss. And Grace is great too, knowing that you pet a dog, not stick your fingers in its mouth or nose, like you love to do with your parents.
But Grace is still a pooch pupil. Like when Sophie decided to roll over on her back (which, by the way, is a patented Gracer move), Little Miss Graceland didn't know what the heck was going on!
It's the start of a wonderful relationship and one that will hopefully keep Grace's canine cup full until the paw pitter-patters come to her nursery.
So I've been following your blog since the love bomb drop. Gracer was too cute to visit only once and your way with words keeps me coming back. In the world of "don't let the dog near the baby" you have reconfirmed what I've learned up to this point. You Are Awesome Parents! Can't wait for that paw pitter patter someday.
