This past week was our first real family vacation. As you can see, Grace loved the beach, the pool and the shade. But even more, she loved the company. Not only was she with her Grammy, Greenpa, Godparents, Uncle Rob and dog Sophie, but she got to meet and love my three cousins and their families. It was a fun week to say the least.
Grace met five more of her second cousins who range between the ages of 9 months and 7 years. She learned to play, share, show affection (more in a later post) and laugh right along with the other kids. Getting a group shot wasn't easy. Especially when one kid refuses to come out of superhero mode.
And we're not sure Grace was completely on board with this one.
My dad and his sister raised all of us on the nightly dinner table question: "What is the best thing that happened to you today?" and with a gathering like this, the answers were plentiful.

Grace, I am glad you got to meet and share some valuable family time with your cousins, Mommy, Daddy and grandparents on the East Coast. We can't wait until you are able to meet more relatives on the West Coast - they can't wait to see you! xoxoxo
