A Week's Worth of Gracer

Grace has had a busy (read FUN!) week.  It all started with a special visit from Aunt Molly.  Grace and her Godmother got some quality bonding time and discussed their mutual love of fashion, toys and princesses.  

What do you mean she's only staying one day?

(yes, that is her new chest brace.  more on that in a later post)

Then, on Friday, we were off to the Jersey coast where my family spends Easter.  This was our first real road trip as a family and Grace did great!  She got a little antsy staying put in her car seat for 3 hours, but she was a trooper.  

On Saturday, we had a continuation of the birthday celebration.  

Grace certainly seemed to be very comfortable with the whole cake and presents routine.  

This looks much better than mommy's homemade non-sugar cake!

My whole family was there to celebrate, although you would never know it due to the poor follow through of the weekend photographer.

We rounded out the week with our Easter celebration, which started with going to the sunrise service on the beach.  It was Grace's first time seeing the ocean, although we're not sure how much she actually saw.  Even though it was before sunrise, the great outdoors was too bright for her baby blues and she spent the majority of her beach time burying her face in our shoulders.  

Grace especially enjoyed playing with all her admirers once home from the beach.  It was great to have some time away from the city, especially amidst such great company.

Remember this smile as Grace goes in for her one year check-up tomorrow.   Three shots and a blood draw are on the schedule....don't expect much grinning during the next 24 hours.
