On Saturday, it was time to lace up the sneakers once again for the annual Buddy Walk, a fundraiser and awareness campaign for the National Down Syndrome Society.
And in New York City, when you prepare for a big walk, you do it Graceland Style.
If our strenuous Team Graceland warm-up workout wasn't enough to power us through the entire mile course, then we would have to rely on pouring on the love.
It seemed to work - charging up our little one, as she's still recovering from a cold earlier in the week. But she was willing to fight through the sunny and windy day (oh, those sensitive baby blues).
Team Graceland was 15 strong this year, with many more virtual walkers, who showed their support even though they live far away and couldn't make it this year.
In all, it was very inspiring to walk with thousands of people who were there supporting their loved ones of all ages.
A very successful Buddy Walk 2012. We hope to see you here next year, and we're looking forward to celebrating Grace being able to take those steps right along with all of us.

ReplyDeleteGod's gift of Grace, What a wonderful group of lovely family and friends who did the Buddy Walk with you. You are so very loved by all who know you. Did you enjoy Uncle Keith? He's fun. We weren't able to attend the Buddy Walk but your Grams from Pa. sent us tee shirts. We will see you on Thanksgiving this year and who knows, maybe we can do the Buddy walk with you next year. I love you and Jesus loves you.
