The good news keeps on rolling in here in Graceland!
Grace had a cardiology follow-up yesterday. Our last appointment had revealed pulmonary hypertension for the second echo in a row, so our doc was recommending that we do a catheterization which would earn us an overnight hospital stay. She said while she doubted that things would change, we could choose to do one more echocardiogram before scheduling the catheterization if we'd prefer. So, opting for hope and a little help from above, we did one more echo. And boy was that a good choice, because her numbers were better! She's on the upper limit of normal (still within normal limits), and will continue to be watched, but will NOT need to be hospitalized and will NOT need to start new medicine in the near future. And since the medicine that she would have been put on is Viagra, Daddy is also relieved to avoid that embarrassing pharmacy pick-up!
Isn't that good news?!
After so many stressful echocardiogram appointments, sitting in quiet, dark rooms wondering why they keep clicking and what each measurement means...then finding out that the clicks and measurements pointed to more problems and more complications...this is a happy day! Way to go Gracer! Sit up tall, you princess of pulmonary pressure!
