Swingin' In the New Year

We've had unusually warm weather in New York, but no, we did not take Grace down to Times Square last night. Although she did wake up to feed right around midnight, so we all got to hear the neighbors countdown to 2012. And that's how you party in Graceland.

We did, however, take advantage of the 50-degree weather to introduce Grace to one of the neighborhood parks. We picked one that has swings for infants. It's only 3 blocks away but the stroller ride put Grace in complete sleepy/zombie mode when we got there.

It took a few back-and-forths to shake the cobwebs off, but she finally figured out that this new contraption isn't that far off from the swing at home (minus the dancing sheep and melodic lullabies).

And once she got a little more adjusted to the gentle sway, it was time to kick things up another notch. No loop-de-loops, but for Grace's first swing lesson, she's flying high.
