Dr. Spray is finished with his initial repairs and is now doing an echocardiogram to make sure everything is running as he wants. It is common with this operating room echo to see a few things that need tweaking which would mean they'd go back into the heart and do these fixes before bringing her off of the bypass machine. It's amazing they can do all this, isn't it? Once they do the echo and everything is working perfectly, they will bring her off the bypass, watch her heart take over its job again, and close her chest. Our nurse thinks that she will have our final update before 5pm. She doesn't have any specifics on how the repair has gone or if they were able to salvage the pulmonary valve. We will get all those details from Dr. Spray once the surgery is complete.
