Grace is settling in at Gram and Greenpa's and is recovering well outside of the hospital under the watchful eyes of her canine protector. We're hoping the giraffe print on Grace's mat will encourage her to grow nice and tall.
Sophie has instantly adopted Grace as her own, watching her every move, and filling in as a stand-in to Big Bird, listening to Grace's stories about her last two weeks.
Grace returns the favor with an occasional pet. And often Sophie cannot resist to lick those cute five little fingers.
But nothing says recuperation better than Gram's home cooking. And we're not just talking about food...it's the love and comfort she provides that Grace needs to keep growing strong and healthy.
That is one happy gram! I can vouch for love and comfort she provides to all who spend time at her home. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteO.My.Goodness!!! Such adorable pictures--Sophie is clearly a Healing Dog, and I'm sure those two have formed a bond that will last their lifetimes! Sweet Baby Grace continues to charm. We're saying prayers for continued progress, and for thanksgiving. Love you all!!

ReplyDeleteYou are loved! So happy to see all these wonderful pictures of your development. what a beautiful girl you are! You are lucky to have the two most wonderful parents and grandparents one could every ask for & Sophie to guard you.
Our little Jack also had a hole in his heart & had surgery when he was 5 months , 16lbs. & he is now 2 1/2 years old. No problem & no restrictions. He was in the hospital for a week in San Francisco & he is doing just fine.

There is no better place to be for love and comfort than Gramma and Greenpa's! The Pictures are so precious - its hard to believe that she went through such trauma just a short time ago - she truly is "amazing" Grace! And although I do believe that her love of the giraffe print is a sign of her growning tall, I mostly believe it is a sign of her fashion forward sense and love of animal prints. ReplyDeleteI think Grace is longer. Do you think she is too? I noticed that Liddy didn't fit into my arms the same way she did pre-surgery as soon as we got home. In the first 4 weeks following surgery, she grew a whole inch! A huge accomplishment considering that she hadn't grown in length for several months before that!
Praise God! She looks GREAT!!!

ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you being taken care of by Mommy, Grammy, Greenpa and Sophie. Daddy will soon return and take you and Mommy back to New York. You have made so many friends all over the world and we continue to pray for your healing. Miracles do happen and you are certainly one of them.
