A Day with No Bad News

The Gracer is on the mend.  Today she had nothing on the agenda but rest.  She fought that the first half of the day, but got a good 3-hour nap in after a bath and a change into some new pjs.  Her eating has been great and she's tolerating her new heart medicine perfectly.  Her chest X-ray showed a much clearer lung, with mild fluid but no more pleural effusion.  She even survived her first earthquake - we thought it was awfully nice for God to help rock her to sleep.

She still has some transitions in medicines to do over the next day or two, but they're feeling good about her condition and are looking to move her back to the step-down unit soon.  We've loved her nurses assigned to her over the past 2 days.  Earlier today when we stepped away for a minute,  we returned to find her crib surrounded by a number of nurses.  This obviously concerned us that something was wrong, because we've learned the more medical professionals around the crib, the more serious the situation.  As we got closer, we realized that they were oohing and ahhing over her cuteness.  And we can't blame them.

  2. What a difference a day makes! Thank you, Father. Hopefully, the three of you will have a peaceful night's sleep for a change. Psalm 127:2 for sure!! I know I will. Your Grandma R. and I truly praise God for your friend, Heidi Ehle. Her faithful and loving comments bless and comfort us greatly. Grace, "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world", especially you.
    I love you too.
