SuperGrace is moving right along. She had a bit of a rough morning getting settled and working out a feeding schedule, but things have progressively improved as the day has gone on. It helps that her buddy is along for the ride.
She is a great little eater, and has wowed her docs with the amount she's throwing back.
She is now almost completely wireless - she just had her chest tube, central line, temporary pacing wires, catheter and the nether region thermometer removed. She still has her arterial line and 2 IVs, but it's almost holding time!
We ran into Dr. Spray in the hallway who said once she got all these tubes and wires out, it'll be about monitoring her fluid in and out and then she'll be able to get out of here "in a couple days". We're not sure if "here" is the CICU or the hospital. We've been prepped by all nurses to expect 10 days, so we'll see if she truly is the Speed Gracer.
Amazing Grace is true to her name. All day prayers and thoughts continue for sweet baby Grace and her loving family . Your little love has touched all our hearts . Hugs to all.
